Hangzhou, China, Nov. 17, 2017 -- Montage LZ Technologies hosted a product promotion meeting for its smart entertainment product lines covering the full-series total STB solutions at 2017 International Conference on Technology (ICTC 2017), an influential event in China broadcasting and TV industry held in Hangzhou on Nov. 15-17.

During this promotion meeting, Montage LZ’s latest UHD 4K decoder SoC M88CC8801 was exhibited by live playback of 4K steams, showing the chip’s excellent performance with ultra-high resolution, vivid natural color restoration, and smooth playback effect. M88CC8801 is the most important SoC product launched by Montage LZ this year. It integrates a quad-core ARM CPU and a quad-core Mali GPU based on 28nm process and is capable of running on Android, Linux and TVOS operating systems, thus offering a cost-effective solution with high-level integration and low power consumption for UHD 4K IP/OTT and hybrid STB markets.

Montage LZ also highlighted its new generation series of HD decoder SoCs based on 28nm process. The series are designed with the capability of multi-standard video decoding including H.265 and H.264 and the features of advanced security and on-chip memory, so as to meet different application requirements from DVB-C, DVB-S/S2 and DVB-T/T2 markets. Besides, the fast switch technology developed by Montage LZ can greatly reduce the time consumption for switching TV channels and improve the decoding efficiency.

The promotion event attracted many broadcasting operators and collaborative STB manufacturers. An important leader from Academy of Broadcasting Science, SAPPRFT was also present in the event.
